One week, one picture

‘One week, one picture’ : the end?

It’s been only a few weeks since I announced the new series on my blog. ‘One week, one picture’. The aim was me choosing a picture I took during the week which would sum up how I felt during the week, etc. I was supposed to post every Sunday. After only 3 weeks I think, I started to post on Mondays. And those 2 past weeks, I didn’t post anything on the series.

Does it mean, it’s already the end of the series?

The answer is no. But it’ll be different from now on.

The truth is, I don’t find the time to write a lot these days and when I do, it’s then only on this series because I feel like ‘I have to’ and they are the easiest to write as I basically just tell my life to you guys. I feel already tired/bored of it though. I still love the concept but telling my life in almost every details is not the reason why I started this blog. I find myself having way more fun while writing posts about my travels. And I still got so many trips I didn’t write about. I want to make time for those type of posts, instead of posts on “One week, one picture”.

Also, sometimes when I had a ‘difficult’ week, I don’t want to write every detail about it online because some of it is private and then I’m left with ‘nothing’ to write about.

As I said above, this post is not the end of the series, it’s just an update to say I’ll write less on this series. And it’ll not be weekly. Some weeks, there’ll be a post but some weeks, there won’t. It’s as simple as that. It doesn’t mean nothing happened during the week. It just means, I’m not feeling talking about my week but something else instead. I know it’s a bit in disagreement with what I said in the last post on ‘One week, one picture’ about this series being a challenge for me to weekly write. But as I always change my mind, this is what it is haha.

I hope it’s clear enough and you understand what I’m trying to say here.

Thank you for reading.

With love, Anaïs

  1. It’s your blog so it’s completely up to you what you post and it shouldn’t be obligated so it’s understandable! I like reading no matter what you write about!

    1. Yes, exactly! I just felt the need to write an update about the series though xx
Thanks so much for you support and kind words Chloe!

  2. Hi Anaïs,

I feel very identified with you. In the past, I’ve committed myself to writing a series of posts on my blog on a regular basis. Then, it turned out that I got bored or just didn’t want to write about it, so I ended up quitting. Could be that it simply wasn’t a good idea or that I’m not consistent enough.

Anyway, don’t feel bad about it. There will be days you’ll be willing to write or you’ll come up with something better instead.

    Peace, love & happiness,

    1. Thanks for your lovely comment!
I don’t feel bad at all, I just wanted to write a little update about the series, that’s all 🙂

  3. Honestly I totally feel you here, I’m pretty non-committal when it comes to staying on task and it’s a miracle Ive actually stuck to blogging for 9 months haha!

But sometimes it’s good to change things a little. I’ve done a few series before and I’ve lost my creativity with them and given up.

There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s fun to mix things up!

Good luck and I’m looking forwards to seeing your travel posts 😊

    1. Couldn’t agree more with you on this haha!
Thanks for your lovely comment as usual Jess 🙂
